so imagine what it'd be like with all vehicle restricted to same speed bands, cars to 68mph racing each other in lanes 2 & 3, trucks getting pished off 'cos they're blocked in lane one (SEE IT'S NOT FUN IS IT YOU MOTHER TRUCKERS) and then bikes trying to get out of the way quickly during filtering...

nightmare

Good point! if you remove power you remove the safety factor of having the necessary power there. A quick blast of power is often a safer option than braking when things happen infront of you.

I'd put a chainsaw engine on a racing bike. I'd have had any registered bike confiscated by then! Trouble is, although people moan about speed limits, every time someone crashes or gets knocked down "something must be done". We can get to the moon, why do accidents still happen? They do, they always will, live with it!

It's high time we are grateful that our roads are so safe, and start balancing our civil liberties with protection before we end up with no freedom at all, just in case we do something stupid!

I could move to the States. I could have an AK47 and my own shooting range, ride a Hayabusa on a tick-box licence, marry a horse and sh*g my grandma. As long as I'm not gay, or Atheist!
