Definitely harsh, not smooth at all, just a "padda padda padda" that would make children bark and dogs cry at 100 paces

Pretty similar actually but just took the edge off it. Oh and gave it a hell of a lot more torque below 6k.

As has been said, everyone will recommend what they have fitted to their bike, but most cans will sound better (or louder) than stock.
I like the M4 on my bike, but other than listening to it on tick over I have only heard it as a by stander twice when mates have ridden the bike down the road while I looked on, sounded pretty good though. I did have a chap that works opposite me come over and talk to me as I was leaving work on the bike last week, and seemed to like the sound of my bike, he said it was the best sound hearing the bike come down the road in the mornings. He rides a Ducati 1098, so I will take that as a fairly good review.

Its a shame you cant "test" the sound of a can before you buy eh.

i've got a high level stubby scorpion on mine and that sounds pretty good imo. before i got it i was also looking at remus, fuel, beowolf, two brothers. i got the scorpion because it was cheap but haven't regretted it
