Job done! After finding YCs advice in other threads about packing the worm drive with grease and pushing it on your hand, I did this and put it all back together just as the rain started pouring. Only one ball bearing came out so it wasn't so much trouble after all.
Gave it a quick try up the driveway and the clutch seems to work perfectly but much less effort required than before. Cheers all for the help! Feel proud that I've actually done something useful on my bike! ![]() |

And also you won't hurt owt removing that pushrod. It slides in use anyway so the seal is fine... just don't put the filthy end into the engine.
