Welcome to the mad house!

I'm an ex SV Ecosser having moved down to the Midlands from West Lothian last year, Bathgate was my nearest town. Much to the relief of the SVEcosser's and now all the Madlanders are trying to send me back!

Have a look at the GMIII threads in the SV Ecosse section and come and join us at the Beinglas Campsite at Inverarnan on 26th June, it's the no.1 forum event in my opinion with 50-60 bikes, lots travelling hundreds of miles to get there! Kilted Ginger and I will be heading up there on the Saturday morning. If you decide to join us and want some company for the ride up, you can meet us at Stirling services on the M9.

Thanks for the tips and the heads up on the ride outs. Looking forward to meeting some of you in the flesh!

Thanks Ralph.

I've been to a couple of bike rallies, The Farmyard and Stormin' The Castle, both great fun and although I'm a bit of a girlie girl and usually don't leave home without my straighteners, I did enjoy the camping experience and didn't suffer much from the lack of sleep or excessive drinking the next day!

Are you the blonde chick i've seen cruising through bathgate main street? You may have seen my blue pointy knocking around.

Wow, you lot are really friendly up there! I guess that happens after the ride out?

Welcome from a southern pointy riding girly. By the way, pointies are lovely, but I bet curveys are too (am bored with the PvsC argument for now! ).

Hello,

Ignore the dinosaurs, move with the times and buy the much more advanced and better looking Pointy model... YKIMS. If the Curvy model was so good, why did they stop making it after three years? (Pointies have been around for 7 years)

So they could save 30p on making the frame. The pointy's the poor mans version of a real SV.

Not to mention knacking up the rear link and cursing it with EFI.

Could well be me......there aren't that many yellow SV's about here that I've seen anyway. Will keep my eyes peeled for the blue pointy! Think I may have started the curvy V's pointy war again! I like the curvy look better but just want an upgrade, although after my 170 mile wee trip today, I'm starting to think I'll hold on to it for another year!! was a lovely ride. And yes, we are very friendly up here

Slight derail.

How many "I've got carb problems" versus "I've got EFI problems" do we see, bearing in mind Curvy production spanned 3 years and Pointy EFI has so far spanned 7 with more to come? Carbs are far more unreliable, because I can't remember seeing one EFI problem posted so far, yet a fair few carb ones have been discussed.

Chris, for someone born in the late 80s, you are far too stuck in the early 70s
