I still can't look at one of those without gipping a little bit.

It's like an adventure bike style, without any adventure bike ability... So it's basically a Chelsea tractor?

To my mind a "perfect bike" would have to look good too, and the Versys is ... er... quircky.

Haha it is a good defination of the versys niche. It makes more sense over a gs if its stayin on the road all the time.

Give me a ktm enduro for the on& off road (well ,mainly off road)

If it had a centrestand it would be perfect. (Shicht, I'm getting old!)

When the SV dies its a Versys for me.

Wonder if Kawa will be sharp enough to bring out a 1200 version? Tiger/MS1200/GS competitor. (Super10 too off-roady) The UJMs the japs have got the now are dull as feck!

Ian, just spotted this - youve taken a shot from her worst side!

Personally, the 1/3rd view from the offside is a far better place to capture the Versys.

I've grown a new love for mine these last few months. I realise now that it truly is capable of hanging with just about anything up to 3 figures providing the road isnt a drag strip, is cheap to run, all day comfortable and can scratch or tour whenever you feel like it.

If they did the new look one in green I might be tempted but until they bring some other colours out, then I'll be sticking with mine.

It might not be the best at anything, but to be good in so many areas makes it a cracker

, errrr no, whilst I'll grant you it's a good compromise between performace, price & running costs, but that statement is stretching it a bit far, unless you mean by "hanging", somewhere behind.

Cheers Mark.
