Apart from that it sailed through MOT's (One mot was £90 all in - that was the mot test, 2 new front tyres, and a load of rear bulbs all replaced by the dealership).

Really comfy, did europe trips 3 times without any drama, would definitely recommend as you get ALOT of car for little money
I had one of them, great cars indeed. I'd certainly have another one, put it that way.

the zetec s 1.9 diesel is very nice as well if you get the leather trim and 18" alloys
I would have loved the petrol one if I could afford the fuel & insurance etc. but the diesel was the more viable option. If there wasn't a reasonably common issue with the injectors on the st diesel then they'd be a fantastic car for the money

Have found a few Mondeos I'm going to look at once I've called up and interrogated the sellers. Decided I don't really need a diesel because my mileage isn't that high, so have lined up some 2.0L Zetec and Ghia post 2003 facelift models. I've been steered away from the earlier pre-2003 models cos they eat throttle butterflies which wreck the engine.

You get a lot of car for very little money with the Mondeo.
