It is andybrad he is probably been paranoid about new pads

I would be happy with anything around 1.5mm pad material for GM3 trip.

Well, of the wear maker is still visible I'd probably do the same.

Can you take the calliper off and post a pic of the pads? Would be much easier to judge than all this 10mm stuff

going to try dc later on as there doing me a huge favour at the mo.....

anyhow will see how things pan out. You should have said as i was at robs the other week!! and i saw an sv sized rear storm ultra on the rack. Not that that helps you any. Could try pit stop in hudds?

is your bike fixed now then?

brake pad thickness of the new ebc hh pads (not as good initial bite as the trumpet ones!!) is 5mm backing plate 3mm. recomended to change at 2mm thickness!! groove in original pad left 1mm thickness. Interestingly enough theres no groove in the new pads. I wonder why?
