not much no, he was selling it at 15quid a shot and as i was the only idiot who ever bought one in all the time he had it, one night he jus said "there you go", he was extremely drunk, iv known the guy for years just through going to his pub in the lakes, i was thankful, and i nearly laid an egg when i found out what it was worth, funny thing is iv never seen him since to thank him proper, the pubs been reposessed and he moved on without a trace!

Not a big fan of the peaty Islay's - Laphroig, Bowmore etc.

Speyside is where it's at - Macallan is a fav. Just finished a cask strength Aberlour A'bunadh which was lovely and halfway through a Cardhu 12YO which is also very nice.

Peg doesn't like peaty Islays either. In fact I don't bleeeugh! You do have to go through a few, but there are some really nice Islays that aren't.

mmmmmm Cardhu, me thinks I'll be buying myself a bottle to celebrate babba when its born. Its the after smell it leaves on the glass that gets me...never mind the taste, I'll sit n sniff it!
