Re: Boots - What do you use & Feedback
I've also got a pair of Oxtar Goretex sports boots (I forget which model they are). I've had them 3 years and love them to bits. Lightweight and comfy, and they broke in nicely rather quickly. I like the fact they are leather not Lorica and also that they have proper Goretex, not some half useless imitation.
My main pair of boots are a pair of Daytona Roadstar GTX. Again these are Goretex lined and more of a touring boot. Extremely comfortable and very long lasting. I recently sent them back to the factory to be rebuilt and they came back like new - not bad for a 10 year old pair of boots that have done well over 100,000 miles on my feet and spent weeks being used as my all day footwear. The refurb bill was about 180 quid, but it was worth every penny, because they are now good for another 10 years and it saved me spending 340 on a brand new pair - I call that good economics.
Third choice of boots are a pair of Alpinestars Tech 3 MX boots that I used to wear mainly when playing off-road and riding in London. I haven't worn them much recently because I find them awkward to wear on the Versys as my legs are too short and these boots don't let me flex my ankles enough, so I have trouble getting my feet down safely.
