All good suggestions about R&Gs, fender extenders, etc. Let me guess, you're new to biking, spent a bit on gear and not too much spare cash to spend on extras. We've all been there. But....don't get caught up in the "must replace the exhaust" rubbish. If it doesn't need replaced, don't replace it, otherwise it's a complete waste of money. With respect, at your level of experience, you want to spend as much time as possible on the bike learning your roadcraft, not replacing the exhaust to get a better/louder noise. All the best, buddy, and take it easy.[/QUOTE] Thanks mate, I am not I am just doing some minor mods to improve the bike for all weathers, I am leaving the mods that change power and so forth until I have experience, thanks for the welcome as well. |

And not forgetting the standard exhaust sounds like a hair dryer.
Don't listen to them, unleash the Vee Twin grunt!! £70 for a second hand can is money well spent!!

Listen, the lad's just new to biking.
Don't brainwash him with the "saving a few pounds" argument. He's riding a bike that can do approx 130mph. He doesn't need to save a few pounds for a £70 or so expense. Let him enjoy his bike and increase his experience naturally.

I'm brand new to biking too but my bike came with a stubby exhaust... When the salesman started it up the bike was sold ![]() |
