buy a haynes manual and a few tools and mate who knows what he is doing if you have no idea, and do it your self, that way you aint getting shafted and a full service aint going to cost more than £60 including air-oil filter plugs and oil, been rideing a bike for 35 years and never paid for a service apart for a first sevice, and lets be honest now serviceing a bike aint rocket science and any half wit can do it.and i know there are good and not so good bike shops but in general your going to get some spotty 18 year old doing the routine service on your 13 grand sports bike

Generally 4-6 hours depending on whether any clearances need adjustment and how far out the throttle bodies are and the general condition of the bike for the fully 15k service done exactly to the book. Ive seen plenty of places quote alot less and trust me..they do alot less!. Incedently I did a survey recently on what places local to us are charging, main dealers and independants. The two most expensive services on my list were independants one of which i know for sure doesnt have any insurance!. Last edited by SV650Racer; 21-02-11 at 10:32 AM. |

Only had a quick browse of this thread but never fails to amaze me how "everyone thinks they don't get paid enough at work and yet moan in a high pitxhed voice that every other business charging them too much"

Next thing you know, some folks would be complaining about the dealers not giving their bikes a full valet ![]() |
