If M&S Newcastle is out to go by, yep.

I just paid 3 grand for the Daytona in my avatar. 56 plate with 3600 miles, it's basically a brand new bike that's been in storage for 4 1/2 yrs, with the odd ride on a sunny Sunday.

aye there are bargains out there, you just have to be in a position to move quickly as they dont seem to last too long..

seen a couple of K7/K8 in very nice condition selling for around the 2k mark, but they do sell quickly

Cheers for the tipoff
I was happy to have a look at their SV for £2k but it's not what I was after (overpriced?)

Got chatting to a mate who has been told ( by someone he plays football with - so very slightly more reliable than a bloke in the pub ) that Kawasaki Newcastle have lost their franchise. It will be moving to M&S (old Kens) on Westgate Hill. Not sure what will happen to the existing Kawa shop.
This might explain why they are clearing stock? Let me know if you find out more

Yes that is true about the Kawa thing M&S giving them Ken's old honda building in 5 weeks time.

Kawa Newcastle is becoming Honda Newcastle and Yamaha City. I think some of the Kawa stuff will be bought by M&S for stock (Kawa N'cle did this with White Bros [Now liquidated after big debts] and M&S for hondas, and bought yamaha stock from Ian Bells' ,Bedlington).

M&S are actually looking forward to it, the franchise was with Kawa Newcastle 39 years (the owner is a really lovely guy and the parts lads are down to earth guys).

You may hit lucky. With Kawa the Curvy for 2k has sat there 6 months the K8 about 5, the other low miler candy blue curvy one a bit longer.
