Well I used my cheek first then moved on to my eye, I shouldnt really advise others to do the same,
That said, It was brand new pipe just out of the packet. Shouldnt really be any foreign bodies inside it.

I don't understand why you'd separate the compressor from the horn. I bolted mine straight onto the fairing mount on the nearside of the rad. Works a treat and is hidden by the fairing

I did it because I couldn't find a better spot to point the horn bit forward but didn't want the fairly weighty motor hanging off the radiator, it let me tuck the compressor section out of harms way inside frame.

I thought you would, but what i was thinking was that the air would have to be compressed to a certain pressure before the horn started to sound, which would take time (the longer the pipe, the longer it would take).

Glad to hear it's not noticeable.

Now another question... Are there fake Nautilus horns to beware of? looking on Ebay there is a massive price range, I dont want to take a punt on a cheaper one and find out my dog farts louder

Don't know? But make sure you buy a compact Nautilus and not the normal sized one.

The compressor is the same size, but the horn is much bigger

I've got a fused relay and a couple of lengths of 25A wire 'in stock' as I was going to fit the twin horns from my old car, but only the high one still works and is no louder than stock... Orf to Ebay...
