Depending on what u want, to throw another in the hat, i`ve got an 03 Mondeo estate tdci 6 speed. 130 bhp, boot and rear seat loaded up 24/7 and i get 51 to the gallon and drive like a divvy, 90+ on motorways always and 0-whatever as quick as it will get there.

If your insurance will stretch to it, those Mondeo's are bl**dy good. I've had a few as hire cars, comfy, decent to drive. As Electro says that MPG is pretty good to. The esates are huge you've got plenty of load space to if you go down that road.

Just spotted that the 1.9tdi (golf) is the same group as a 1.6 petrol....interesting.

When i 1st got the car and it was empty i thought the mpg computer was taking the pee, 1st 200 miles and it showed 61mpg.
