Bike feels twitchy around corners, is my rear squaring off?

Rear wheel bearings ok? just asking, a GIXER750 I had did that, the bearings were shot.

Thanks for the advice guys. I didn't realise tyre pressures fluctuated so much, I must only have checked it twice in the 18 months that I've had it :$. Bike is an 04 plate with about 18k on the odo. It had a major service last May. Will be more vigilant next time! Having them back to standard pressure does feel a lot more 'stiff' at the rear now. Will take it to a garage soon to check if anything else is suspect... problem with these things is garages tend to find faults as a response to driver's paranoia, where's spannerman when you need him!

As for the shocks/suspension, I can't really tell until I take it to a garage. Anything I can do to check it myself?

As for bearing play, I've checked and there's not much movement on either wheel...

Where are you based? There is YC up north if you can't get to spannerman.

You should check your tyre pressures regularly along with the overall condition of the tyres looking for foreign object damage. Obviously depends on how often you ride, I check the tyres visibly daily and check the pressures once a week because I use the bike to commute.

ive just had the same problem, one of my mate sugested tyre pressure may be the cause and low and behold a bit of air and the bike feels good as new!
