wow, you must either ride like you stole your bike, or do mega miles each year?

Still on same rear which was fitted 2 years ago, and approx 10K miles, although that is mostly town commute in the past year.

In an ideal world i would have one bike for the ride to work with the touring tyre thats built to last and gives me confidence in the wet. And one for weekend blasts that has some sticky, expensive stuff that can be leaned over so far that people driving past think i'm Dani Pedrosa out and about in Surrey.

I've been told the sportsmart is as close to the "best of both worlds" as you can get???

A. it'll take more than just tyres to ride like Pedrosa
B. if you're on an SV the tyres won't be the most limiting factor
C. "DEKRA found that a rider adhering to its test regime would need just 3.64 Dunlop SportSmart tyres to cover 10,000 kilometres" to you and me that's 2747.25 kilometres or 1707.062 miles each one, I'm not sure what DEKRA's regime is but even if you double it it's still not brilliant

Cheers Mark.

TBH sticky and expensive is crap if you don't get them up to temperature.

Have you ridden with them for any length of time? (if you're talking about the SportSmarts)

Sticky is great on warm dry days but is like riding on ball bearings on cold damp days. Horses for courses though - if you only ride when the sun shines then sticky is great. For the other 364 days of the year you might want some sports tourer rubber. After all, the SV is a sports tourer!
