No, no more or less reasonable. I agree 100%. Both pieces of speculation on both sides of the fence are equally plausible IMO, and therefore have an equal validity to be posted in the thread.

There is nothing wrong with a properly repaired tyre; the chances of failure are negligible.
Does he feck. Hes a MC mechanic, and his business is to bloody fit tyres to motorcycles, AND MOT I may add.

If Rob don't want to have the liability, he'll just tell you to feck off somewhere else and try, he just don't want the responsiblity. Nothing to do with making money out of you. For example, I have cursed a front tyre, and swore blind there was something wrong with it, he rode my bike up the road, and when he came back said....nope not changing it, typical paranoid woman. I got a puncture last year in the Raptors rear, after 8 miles from new. It was under Avon gaurantee, I was pregnant and couldn't ride....he didn't have to come up and pick me bike up and replace it, but he did.

I can assure you, my small business tyre fitter is obviously there to make a living, but he ain't gonna take the pi$$.....hes got a conscience.

At the end of the day is it worth chanceing a rapid loss of pressure and the consequences it may have for the cost of a new hoop?
