completely agree. very underrated bikes i love my brothers 750ss (1996) the 900 has more grunt. as for servicing, its not hard to change the belts and once you have done it a few times its toooo easy, valves are the same easy peasy in fact i would say the valves are easier to do on these dukes than the SV.
