As this was an eighteenth birthday present it is almost as old as the sundial... It will be 25 on Thursday! Hardly ever take it off, has avoided too much damage somehow, new strap two years ago eplaced the worn out one, and a very reasonable service after 20 years because I thought it might like one (didn't actually need one). Can't be bothered to buy another one and after all this time it would feel wrong anyway!

The best thing is no one has a clue whether your wearing a £100 watch or a £10k watch... unless they know about watches of course. There seems to a few watch lovers at my work, one chap wears a £30k Patek World Traveller.

Most amusing moment was getting into watch conversations around a table over a meal... it's not good when your wearing a terrible fake and you try and pass it off as real.

Today I am wearing

Worn everyday, including getting battered about climbing offshore and it still looks like new.

I have had this Seiko Kinetic for the past 8 years - wear it everyday for everything and it still looks good. I do fancy a different watch to wear now and again "just because" - but haven't got around to it yet.
