Society is based on boom and bust... we're not the only country struggling and we're better off than some.

I mistakenly voted Tory.. I learnt a lesson. So far I've seen or heard proposed police cuts, defence cuts, change to employment law, increased tuition fees. The chancellor has no money yet we give £11Billion to other countries.

. .
. . and thus to vote for them ( and they STILL didn't win! )
Interesting how we hear of all the local authority job cuts: Police, Libraries, Care Homes etc, and yet very little about all those tens of thousands of ' non-jobs ' - it appears the authorities must definitely have a hidden agenda about those!

There's no point in voting red for anything at the minute. I believe their business model is flawed. The blues have the right idea (sort of). The economy reflects my real life situation at the moment, Overspent! Hence I have to make cuts, most people do, its no wonder the country has to. Stuff that isnt as important has to go and quickly. Otherwise we are going to do a Greece, the countryhas been lazy for years while there was plenty of cash and has obviously how forgot grim things really are . We all need to pay back our tick! It's just wierd when the entire country is doing it.

That's half the problem, JB.
While we're paying back, we aren't spending & buying all the stuff our factories are making.
Yes, I realise it's not quite like that.

I was in Paris on Tuesday, joined a march with Marine Le-Penn and then later went to a rally addressed by Sarkozy - the French really know how to campaign.
I get back home and knew nothing of any elections. Not even a flyer through the door.

Yes, I realise it's not quite like that.
Put it this way.....for example.

Spain is at 25% unemployment. Thats 1 in 4. They owe a lot of money, and they are clamping down on the spending, big austerity measure. I use this country as it has the simplest figures, and I can't remember what the unemployment rate is here....

Anyway, while 25% of the population is unemployed, thats 25% of the population thats not paying tax in a wage, thats 25% of the population not spending as they should, and 25% less money going back into the pot to spend on countries debt etc.

Now, if they can't pay off debt, they can't grow, they can't spend, and its a vicious circle, its happening here, cutting back left right and centre, to save money, which in turn, cuts jobs, because companies can't afford it.....blah blah blah.....doom and gloom, everbody miserable, with no money, poor get poorer, the rich get richer.....they are all in the same club, no matter what country you happen to live in.

I have to point out here, its not the common Greek man that is lazy, how very dare you insult them, but then that is because of what you are fed via media.....

Its the government that has spent it, greedily, not the common Greek man like yourself......

oh yeah....just the same here too....just got ribbons and pink fluffy kittens to cover it over with a nice sugar coating

I could go on about coughing up considerable amounts of money to rebuild Europe after WW2, and never getting over it, and recovering from alsorts of other things since that time, but end of the day, its gonvernment spending thats got them in the dooooo not normal folk

As I understand it, the level of debt in the country has still gone up in the last quarter so we've not felt the pain yet.
