With the tank I'd suggest finding out what the bike's worth and deciding if thats an amount of money (less at least 10%) you're ever gonna be prepared to part with it for, if not then go for it. If it is then go for the vinyl wrap or leave it because the more unique you make your bike the more you narrow the number of people that will want it.
Well spanky doodles, we shall live up both together and be a happy couple. Don't break my heart now

Well the bike is nowhere near standard! I've had the rims, frame, tank, headlight and seat customised either by colour or made by the guy who I originally bought it off. The tires aren't standard either there's one nobbly on front and a normal tire at back. The only thing standar on it are the back indicators.
I need to get my straight handlebars painted and tidy up the electrics and clocks and then I can start focusing on the tank.

P.S I bought the bike for only £500 (well my boyfriend did as a Christmas present) but its a lot better looking and tidier than when I first bought it.
If I DO come to sell in a few year and I've had the triforce painted on then worse comes to worse ill get it stripped and re-powder coated!

I was in Eastleigh on Friday Night/Saturday Morning and can say the best thing to come out of the place is the M27

As for the design, its your bike NOW, don't worry about resale etc, just do with t what will make you happy

Of course, if its easily removable (Vinyl/Stickers) then thats even better.

Might be worth haveing a quick chat with Paul the 6th to see if he can do you it as a sticker type transfer

Yeah that's true! I'll have a word with him.
How much do the transfers last?
I was originally going to get two stickers of pin up girls for either side of my tank to match my helmet but I struggled to find some that'd look good on the tank

Well this (which is basically the same stuff as Paul would use) has been on the SV since Easter 2011, went for a Tron Legacy thing

I used retro-reflective vinyl, so it does this under direct light (or the flash on my camera in this instance.

Should last a couple of years at least.

Tron legacy has got to be one of my favourite films and go have a custom bike which is inspired by it is purely immense.

More like I crashed my bike, rattle-can resprayed it satin black (cos thats one of the easiers colours/finishes to make look good if you dont really know what you are doing) then had the reflective vinyl and thought "what can I do with this?"

So more necessity than custom job.

When I get round to it, the custom job on my SV is going to be soooo nice, putting it back to red, but with some nice touches

But still - it looks awesome

I'd try and tempt my boyfriend in doing his whole bike like this in blue and mine in orange but he would tell me to feck off lol!
He thinks I'm too nerdy at times

Be carefull... Next thing you know is that is will be semi stripped down in your garage, and still in the same condition fours years later with it having spent time in a damp garage and nearly a year outside under a tarp and then your 'first love' as it were will be full of rust and need LOTS of work..

Not that I know anyone whos done that or anything

; )

LOL I think you're right there to be honest! Well my dad has a big enough garage it used to have 4 bikes in there but I've now took over it so I don't mind if it's sitting there.

After all it'll be a good project restoring it in a few year :P

No we don't, my SV was my first big bike, and as shes been in the family since new, and I know exactly where shes been, shes staying put, and I've had one or two additions since! I love that bike.

I always go back to her......even if the VRap is a far superior ride, hey, even the ZZR can't push her in a corner
