Put me down as a maybe, no idea what I will be doing next year though so cant commit. I also need to get another bike for touring as the Gixxer is more of a track bike.

I am also in favour of the bunkhouse option, I couldn't imagine anything worse than being out in the rain all day, then putting up a tent in the wet only to have to take it down soaking wet the following morning, doesn't sound like much of a holiday to me.

When I was a kid I did a bit of a tour of Ireland with my parents, from what I can remember we stayed in hostels all the time and they were dead cheap.

Have a look on Hostelworld.com

I am also a maybe at this present time after being told I the opportunity to go Disney World next year and it will be paid for. Obviously this will be priority number 1, and a Euro trip with Phil will be 2. If this falls right with Holidays I will be there.

Tom when are you think of setting a deadline for numbers and attendance etc.

Also I have to admit I still prefer camping, but just ignore me I am tight and from Yorkshire!

No need to even consider putting firm names down yet, a lot can happen between now and then, I dont like committing to stuff to far in the future, it tempts fate

I'll defo consider it early in the new year depending on how my work has been this year and how it looks next year.

It's defo on my bucket list

It's a pretty open invitation dan, but they haven't even got published timetables for the ferries that far ahead.

I'm doing it and who ever wants to can tag along (plus I've been on enough org events now without organising anything I thought I'd make the offer). If it's me and one or two others it'll probably be sometime like I've already planned. If it turns out that the numbers are more like France then I'll have to look at planning it a bit differently.

Just gets it in peoples heads (and diaries) by posting something up here this early. It's not likely to be before the end of April because of the weather, so I'll look at getting a proper idea towards the end of this year. Until then I'm just looking to get any advice from people who've been, and any ideas from people who may want to go.

I'd be tempted would need to check what i'm doing nearer the time.

It dawned on me rather depressingly the other day that I turn 30 next year, and i've still not done an Alps trip yet. That will be getting sorted next summer before anything else!

Would love to do it, but I've got no chance of getting away on a biking trip for 5 days. Too many family commitments and each and every one of my 25 days holiday allowance from work, has to be prioritised.

Ralph, MisterTommyH is TommyH's new username - he's part of the boycott clique, you don't need to spin that line.
