no,the now x has had a wrx sti from almost new(21k's worth) and like all permanent 4 wheel drive cars and pickups ive driven(and that includes all but the newer defenders and disco's) have found that on the road the handling was a compromise compared to a front wheel drive car especially on the twisty b roads,and compared to say a bmw135i which sticks to the road like sh*t on almost identical bridgestone tyres and have always found that 4 wheel drive under normal road use was unnecessary and didnt actually make it go round corners any better, and if anything with the front and rear pushing and pulling each other made fast cornering less safe rather than safer,no doubt and im guessing here, the more modern 4 wheel drive from the likes of audi/vw have overcome these issues with better and more modern diff's
