SV650.org / Pistonheads / Visordown

When threads descend into this, what's the difference?

So sorry. Just came back to edit my comment but it's set in stone now. I just found it extremely rude that the fella called my home town what he did.

Cheers for all the tips guys.

Bike is now usable again as I replaced the mirror and lever.

I'll get the dent sorted with next months pay hopefully, for now it's just going to be an annoying eyesore!

Oh well, back to work on it tomorrow - hopefully it'll be OK!

I only go into London to see friends (and Anna) from the org. After having some tw4t lean a sh1tty bashed up scooter against my immaculate GSXR1000 because it had no stand, I decided it wasn't worth taking any bike of value there and leaving it parked anywhere.

My solution to the scooter leaning against my bike? I dragged it to the centre of the road and dumped it there on its side.

I own a mechanically sound, but cosmetically disastrous SV650. It's ace for London, as when every singe panel is already marked people are a little more careful around your bike. After all, does this really look like the sort of bike that's going to get back out of the space carefully?

The main tip is to never leave a space beside your bike that you could fit 95% of a scooter in, try to park up next to other bikes of some value, leave enough space for them to get out but no more. Of course, sometimes this just isn't possible.

Aww man, sorry to read this! When I first bought my car (years before I came over from the dark side) it was brand new and some joyrider ploughed into the side of me causing over £1K of damage. I was gutted.

Any luck on finding any CCTV?

I park at Heathrow T5 for work in the bike park and I always see stupid parking going on. Despite the space it's usually a case of people parking up whereby you can't actually stand your bike up so i usually move theirs enough to get out and make it apparent their bike was moved. Some people just have no common sense.
