Do not do what I used to do.

Work on a Friday night, then stay after hours and not get home until about 7 Saturday morning (when it was an 11pm chuck out). You tend not to earn as much that way...did cover my booze costs and holidays though, so was well worth it.

My dad did get sick of seeing me come in as he was going to work!

Oh yeah a really low cut top will always help...followed by posting on the org when/where you will be working

James, that was a rare occasion. Do not get used to it. PS - has your good looking friend from your puncture day been told how awesome I am? Lol!

Maria, I enjoyed working in bars so much that if I were allowed, I'd still do the odd shift. You get some cracking banter and also speak to very interesting people. Loved it.

Well it's tonight! Should be fun, think I'm more worried about walking down the hugely steep hill to get there on a cold night haha.

Any last minute tips? YC is full of manflu so I'm hoping it holds off from attacking me until tomorrow at least

Low cut top, short skirt and high heeled boots, not for work just to make Yc feel better

Just be yourself and enjoy it and if its not for you move on. I worked around 15 years in pubs clubs etc in all positions and it was fun but i was always at work, i only got half a day off a week in the end so got out of it just before i got my own pub/eatery, but it was fun while i had the energy to do it. You be fine

You'll be a natural. Just be friendly chatty and keep smiling, and ask people to bear with you as you learn, that always goes a long way. Best of luck x
