My gift from Simon is that he's going to fit my engine bars on the BMW while filming himself doing it. He doesn't know it yet though.
My sis got my birthday present early for me this year. I had it last week. A firm rubdown by two Thai women. All over with oil and sea salt.

I'm easy to buy for - I want an RC30, and I have done for a long time.
How easy can it be?

I have expensive hobbies and as such I want expensive presents
![]() Garmin Montana for os mapping off road, top quality hd bike camera would be nice too. Rant... I don't know why we call it Xmas anymore cos all it consists of is 3 months of marketing crap to persuade us to buy presents for people we hardly see or like, we can't really afford them either. Xmas now is just a present swapping ceremony that stresses everybody out beforehand because they are under massive pressure to buy gifts for people that marketing has told them they need. I could quite happily not do Xmas tbh. |

Oh well,I suppose it isn't festive but me and the memsaab don't buy each other presents simply because if we really want something we will go and buy it anyway.Cheapskate I know but we do buy for the five grand kids which is expensive enough in its self

I only buy presents for those I see most of, as naturally they are the people I know best and therefore not as much thought is required. I find it far harder buying presents for someone I hardly know. But then this year I'm making a lot of little Christmas trinkets for those I see a lot of outside of family but not enough available dosh to fork out on them. Providing I can find the time. Much easier and more unusual.
I don't get why parents ask their kids what they want for Christmas way in advance. Fair enough, if it means they get something they're dying for but the added pressure of working out what it is you want (when you're growed up) is stupid. I guess some parents are very traditional and always have to get you one extravagance but it's stupid. Birthdays are special. Christmas is just another day with a lovely dinner and some cheesy films. Too hyped. |
