How much fuel do the sv's use roughly per lap at the manx? Obviously it would change as you get used to it from being in a higher gear going through corners once you get more confident. Would just be nice to have some idea of what to be looking at.
Cheers, jay

hi jay,,you will get two laps per tank qiute easily, i ran 155.5 main jets and kn filter, and as you say, the smoother you get the better the consumption, but you will be ok even when on and off the throttle, talking of fuel, take a cheap sack truck, and use the fuel station at the supermaket round the corner from the paddock, you can walk to the supermarket with the sack truck and jerry can, the supermarket is a few streets away behind the police station, when you sign on you will get a discount card for the place, ( not fuel) you can get all your grub and ale ect,

Sweet thanks. Yeah I know the shop you mean. Mine is an injected model so might differ on the fuel, not sure really. I have a 23L tank too so might even get 3 laps in??

As Rob says plenty of lockwire and threadlock, theyre chipping all the roads on the TT course now so make sure youve got youre rad guards, hand guards & spare screens, visors etc, the stones caused lots of trouble a couple of years ago..

Look forward to meeting you all in a few weeks

Cant wait, getting a bit excited now, but first Ive got the Southern 100 to look forward to .
Jay I was told to expect to use about 7ltrs of fuel a lap when you first start, this will improve as your circuit knowledge improves. Howdoo Rob, I use the Bob Heath hand guards, clear perspex jobs that screw onto the sides of the fairings, they give you a bit more of a bubble to tuck behind if your a big lad using narrow fairings (675), here's a pic from the Billown Post TT races
