What evidence have you heard? I've not really caught much of it, but I thought I heard she was in bed with him, then he woke up in the night, heard someone in the bathroom and went and blasted them through the door. Surely if you're in bed with your Mrs and you wake up and she's not there and you hear something in the bathroom, your first logical thought should be it's your Mrs in the bathroom?

I have been keeping up to date with it via the live feeds on news sites. The police/state case is weak and they made many mistakes and made a lot of assumptions. Like no overshoes on the scene, they failed to find one of the bullet casing which was then found later by a lawyer, they assumed a box in the bedroom was an illegal substance without testing it but turns out it was herbal medicine and they didn't check phone records to corroborate Oscar's story that he did call for help. I can see how if your vulnerable with no legs you would just dart out of bed and assume. Its easy for us able bodied to speculate.

Wow. Bail on a murder charge. That shows how weak the case is.

I listened to the whole thing, apparently it is because the prosecution failed to prove he was a flight risk, failed to prove he was a risk to the public and the fact he is an SA resident with nearly $10million worth of assets there.

Also is it me or does the judge look like Theo Paphitis?

Ive got no idea if he is guilty of murder or not,but I reckon he will get off largely because of who he is and how much lawyer he can afford.
The local plod wont do the prosecution any favours either,but that will be because of incompetance rather than money talking.Its a bad start when the man heading the case gets taken off because he is suspected of doing a bit of killing of his own.

the story on its own sounds abit far fetched but the number of mistakes (if you belive what you are told) then its just unreal !!!

IMO he did it but is going to get off due to connections money etc

A bit of a chinese whispers scenario this, as I've not read the details first hand, but here's how I understand it.
1. He's asleep in bed with his girlfriend.
2. He gets up, sticks on his legs and goes to the balcony to get some air in the night (bit weird, but there you go).
3. Then he comes back in and hears a noise in the bathroom. The bathroom is only accessible from his bedroom as it's an ensuite with no external windows.
4. Rather than look at his girlfriend in bed or wake her, or anything, he grabs a gun, walks into his ensuite, goes up to the closed door to the bog (there's nothing else in there ... just a crapper) and fires for shots through the door.

If that is accurate (and I'm not sure on that at all), how is that not murder? Did he think a criminal had broken in, snuck through his bedroom into the ensuite and gone for a little tinkle before the robbery because he needed to freshen up?

The facts say murder to me, as does the body language in the court videos, but I agree his highly paid lawyers are going to get him off.

See it did have an external window, as it happens the only one without bars on it. And he had contractors in who had left ladders so every possibility some one could have climbed in.
