Job done with a basic pipe cutter (spacer) from Toolstation.
I understand what you say, just saying it can be measured by anyone who takes their damper rod out. |

Runako,
Got any pictures of what you used? |

Looking at some steel pipe with a 26mm od and 1.5mm wall. That might do the job. Wouldn't be a interference fit but close enough?

That became the most time consuming part because dummy here did everything else but couldn't work out why the fork cap wouldn't go back on. So re-read the fitting threads & realised I hadn't cut the preload spacers to accommodate for the added emulator length.
So dummy here had to shelve the install for a couple of hours, go off to toolstation to buy something like this. The one I purchased was actually around a fiver at the time. Tbh its not that easy to use without a vice, or something to clamp/grip the spacer as mine was already shortened from having a longer Hyperpro spring installed. So perhaps get a better cutter or a mechanised tool/saw or use a vice to hold the spacer. The job itself is not hard, you just need to make sure its accurate (so measure and mark your cut before you start) as you only get one shot at it - unless you have spare tube. Edit: Oh, I also gently filed or de-burred the edges of the cut so that there were no bits of metal swimming around in the forks or jagged edges anywhere. With the right tools it should take minutes. Yes, I considered just finding the right diameter pipe and cutting myself but I don't have access to such things and worked out it was cheaper for me to get someone to make the adapter. However, if I had the tools and cheap pipe I would have done it myself. It must be accurate though as you don't want to have to go in and out of your forks all the time to make sure its working.
