I said on facebook, £180 a year... Nah rather go spend the money going and watching road racing and club racing. Its far more entertaining and accessible

That's that dead then.
I have to suffer the GP's on SPEED channel over here in Canadianland and the presentation is beyond dire. It got so bad at the American GP's last year I actually switched off. They were interviewing Kevin Swantz MID RACE! There were so many adverts every single overtake was missed! They cut to adverts 5 laps from the end and cut back half way through the final bloody lap!

It's not better this year but in their infinite wisdom (that's American Wisdom, so it gives you some idea) WSB was dropped this year for a program called "Are you faster than a Redneck" Yes, its as **** as it sounds!

Money, actually no, greed ruins everything!

For non-BT people it's going to be £17 a month for the BT Sports channel. So £204 a year extra on top of what I already pay for a channel that's only going to show about 162 hours of TV a year that I'm actually interested in - I don't care about football, rugby, womens tennis etc....

I know Eurosport shows lots of other **** sports that I don't care about, but it does currently show MotoGP, WSBK and BSB and is just part of my Sky package that I've had for years - I get other TV channels that sometimes have something watchable on them too. £17 a month for one channel where I only want to see 1.8% of it's total yearly output is too much!

Full season multi-screen pass for MotoGP.com is currently 159 Euros... so a little bit cheaper than BT.... but still a huge hike from now.... and not one I can justify....

I guess I'll either have to find a pirate route or go without.....

I said earlier i would stop sky sports so that would save me 302 quid a year. Ive always had my eye on a 2nd dish or dual feed to another receiver to pick up the foreign channels with the money i save itll pay for itself. This is only if the gp is on elsewhere. If one of the radio sport stations commentates then thats another option or you could set up a proxy and watch it on a catchup service online.

I expect the gp to be on spains terrestrial channel & i dont think its difficult to pick up on satellite. Maybe we should start a thread on solutions to get it.

Update: Ive noticed adverts for bt sport in the rags today showing footy & tennis. Not a single one about motogp. Lets see if any of the bike rags have them.

With moto gp going to bt it will be bye bye moto gp for me.
I'm not paying again to just watch moto gp.
I only got sky in the first place as they used to show BSB and then I could watch eurosport for moto gp.
If eurosport lose any more bike racing it will be time to think about getting rid of sky.
I dont much care for football, tennis, rugby. Cricket is good but apart from that its only the bike racing Im interested in.
Looks like I will wait till the end of the year and by the dvd !!
