I once got £50 cashback from the RAC after my works car alternator went just before the bank holiday, rang them up tuesday and they had 'lost' the car!

I've had no issue with mine, albiet mines a bike specific company. Unable to repair on the roadside gets recovery
Its one of the few things Swintons are good for (£60 ish a year and its bang on)

That's the point though, did they take your word that it was knackered or have to send a repairer out to check? And what was up with it?

But that's something that could be easily fixed on the side of the road...

+1,
If I had a dead plug I would certainly expect that to be fixed at the road side.

My latest breakdown company have been excellent, they arrive within an hour of been called and bring with them some suitable levels of abuse.
They recover the bike to your home address and have been known to continue the intended journey to drop me at work before returning bike to said house.

They ended up sending a car recovery company as the local bike recovery didn't pick the phone up
