The SV nice and flexible. Same with the 675 but with a kick up the bum at the top end of the revs.
Honestly try my zx6r it's all reves and no engine braking.
I still have a hoot on it but it is just a bit buzzy.
Did 214 miles using the 675 Sunday.
Don't think I could do it on the zx.

Found it really good and informative.

They did talk about not speeding and such, but, he did say the training makes more sense the faster you ride

I got to ride my Dad's GSXR last week, it was better than the SV in every sense bar being a bit boring. The instant acceleration is great but you're pretty much straight into license losing speeds and need to stay there to enjoy the bike. For the road the SV is much more fun to ride at more reasonable speeds.

Yes the 70bhp is easily enough for the road. Before having to sell my bikes to help afford a house move ( don't worry only had 4 months bike less) I sold my cb and used the sv for commuting and Sunday blasts. I'm no riding god but was regularly chased by my mates on an r6, zx6r and an r1. Catching the lad on the r1 was easy as I was making up bike lengths into and through the corners getting on the power a lot early. Obviously any of them bikes ridden properly should show an sv up but I'm sure most lads on here who have taken the sv on track have shown some race reps up with a lot more cc and a lot more ponies

I've done 2500 miles on the SV in the last month, mostly on the motorway / autobahn. On the autobahn I did wish I had a little more power, not that I was cruising 'that' fast but it would have been nice to be able to blast quickly up to autobahn outside lane speeds occasionally to clear people in the middle lane.

70bhp is fine on non motorway roads in my opinion, I didn't enjoy the SV650 on the motorway.

talking about riding and motorways/autobahn is just wrong, that's transportation that is.
For riding even a 40bhp twin is enough(even enough to embarrass power rangers)
This a proper riding road, easily identified by these things called corners

It's just as valid to use a motorcycle for transportation as it is to enjoy some bends

whatever fills your bucket I guess, but transportation = boring, riding = fun, the sv is fun for riding, any bike is a drag when used for transportation

I prefer to use my bike if I'm on my own if it's not freezing. Especially down the M25.
But I do use it for transportation to and from work.
But I go the twisty way
