Regenade make the most 'legal' sound from a non-legal perspective. I've had an ART exhaust on the SV and it was cheap, like a straight through piece of pipe.

Besides that does anyone know whether removing the collector box (for the rear cylinder mainly) and having the exhaust pumped straight into two exhausts will mess up the setup?

I hear some say the SV must have back pressure - I'm about to remove some of it by doing a 2-2 convo.

No one seems to mention G- FORCE. look good, sound superb, are very reasonable and came out top in a recent RIDE magazine end can (with removable baffle) survey for value and increased power recently.

No Renegaded SV I've ever heard sounded at all legal! Viney, Sudoxe, Rictus, Si and Coolgirl always sounded very illegal to me!

I can't fault my ART Ti. It is an identical construction to Coombest's Scorpion with the exception of the removable baffle. After what must be 16,000 miles, it's beginning to sound a little on the hollow side - but as I've said before - they need repacking! This should be done every 3000-5000 miles for a Vtwin according to ART. It also survived my topple in June!

Andrew... that's exactly what a race-can is! A straight through piece of pipe, with some holes drilled in the sides, surrounded by a sound-damping packing.

Isn't strange, we always want to change what is fitted as standard

In the 60's it was fashionable to fit siamesed pipes so that only one silencer was needed plus it was thought those verticle twins sounded better for the change. Now we do the opposite.

As for noisy bike warning cars I don't think it works, you only have to see what silly things are done by car drivers when the police are approaching with sirens and blue lights going.

Good road positioning and front light that can be seen without dazzling. Yes I'm getting at those who ride with full beam and 100w bulbs. Nothing wrong with 100w bulbs wxcept they are illegal and do nothing but enrage other road users especially in a built up area. But great on a dark empty road.

I have to disagree, I was stunned by the difference when I got my Scorpion & took out the baffle, the cars part like the Red Sea!
I put it back in for a day & I was invisible again.
It's out again.

Can't disagree with the positioning advice though.

Same experiences here... It was quite incredible!!
I also re-fitted the bafle for one ride. I decided I would never put it back in again!

I can guarantee that you will not be disappointed!
The baffle is fairly easy to get in & out after you've done it the first time!
A lot of people have had problems with the initial removal (it's bolted in but also glue-gunned!!). Mine wasn't too bad but if it is an issue, lots of WD40 and a pair of good mole grips should help!! It may be helpful to have a second pair of hands to stop the bike moving or falling over.
Once it's out, if you want to put it back in, it's a lot easier the more you do it!!
