Personally I reckon a well designed system with thinner pipes will work better than a poorly designed one with huge ones, gas flow being a strange and wonderful thing... The WRP has headers big enough to live in But their development budget and experience would be a drop in th bucket compared to Yoshi or M4, I think, so I'm a little skeptical about it. I could be wrong... It's very well made, so maybe there's more gone into the design than I assume.

Got a DJ kit in and reasonably set up, apart from the mains... Soon be fixed.

What's on yours at the mo then Mike?

Sigh... You would think that 4000 miles of totally clean road riding in all conditions would help certain people forget 2 crashes in the early stages of my SV-riding times, but noooo. In 20 years time when I'm riding my hoverSV, Nutty'll still be telling people about the time her and Tony pulled my bike out of a bog

I challenge you to a race on a completely straight, wide road! That'll sort you... Well, unless Mike brings his race bike, then I'm f*****.

4000 miles!!?? Is that it!!??

I managed (my first) 10,000 miles+ of road riding in all conditions without a single mishap! OK, I dropped it on track at Llandow through decking out the rear brake pedal ( ) and of course, I let it down on it's side, gently, after bungling a stoppie at a SELKent meet... I(n front of 14 others! ... Neither of which are really accidents.
My latest one however, was slightly more serious!!!!

As for Ian, he's covered over 20,000 miles of road mileage in the past year with no mishpas (other than a 3mph drop on a bumpy gravel farm track!!). He's also pretty quick & the 2 of us have riden together a fauir amount & kept up with/shaken off bigger/better bikes on our favourite roads many a time!!

And a race in a straight line!? *yawn*

What's the point!! If I wanted, I could have spent more than the £350-odd that I did on my bike and released more horses but I didn't see the point! I want a bike to actually run for more than a week!!

I'm sure Ian'll be along in a while though to make his point known!!!!

I'm not saying it's worthy of a medal- just that it might help get rid of the "bungling idiot" sign

Do the decent thing and qualify your sig, there's people posting in other threads that actually think an SV can do 83 proper horses with a slip-on and PC... It's not fair on the poor souls, they'll be mighty unhappy when they find out that 83 crank really means something like 72 at the rear wheel... And they might come and get you

Whatever dude. Just a bit of fun and I don't actually care how many bhp my bike makes so haven't done the re-map or the dyno thing. As for a straight, wide road race...sounds too much like formula 1 to me. More of a corner person.

I don't consider myself particularly fast and feel the same about my faithfull SV. It goes well enough which is all you can ask of a bike or a girlfriend in my book

Happy riding dude.

Chutz, that was just a bit of fun too... I was just making fun of the fact that I've probably now got one of the quicker road SVs on the board, but I'd probably lap a twisty circuit slower than most of the riders. Mike, Rictus, and many others would all have me even if they were on stock bikes

Plus the bhp thing was natcherly directed at Tim, not y'self, as you well know. it's like false advertising

Are we talking exhausts or jets?

The exhausts are the standard down pipes for the Raptor with an additional link pipe welded in. The two cans are 400mm (could be 460mm but I think they are shorter than that) race cans from MHP. The carbs have a dynojet kit with 170s in and a BMC Race RS filter.

Interestingly enough with the K3 race bike I am lending out for next season an M4 Hi-Sport full system puts it around 73 hp with no fuelling changes or other filters, etc. The M4 Race system would put it way over as would adding any kind of filter.

Yep, meant the exhausts. You couldn't go for any easy option could you

Back on topic, I have to admit not all has gone as smoothly as I initially thought, I'm losing a little oil from the rear cam chain adjustor... Guess I must have damaged the wee gasket when fitting it, it's that fiddly that it took me a few goes. Still, easily fixed- just need to find another gasket.

So apart from cam chain adjuster gaskets what else did/didn't you re-new?
