i think northwind was refering to the kits that modify the original throttle tube and not the R6 tube being the ones that dont open the throttle all the way open

Well, I think it was Mike that was talking about not getting full opening, but yeah, it seems like most of the problems come form the kits not the R6 swap. As long as you pout the think plastic washer thing inside the cable run! I'm not sure that's how it's meant to be done, but if you don't the cables can jump off the side of the cam and moogle themselves. Don't ask me how I know.

My carb linkage pulls hard against the stop with the R6 tube. Those kits aren't worth the money when you consider how cheap the R6 tube is, £7.21 against the £25- odd most of the places want for the cam kit.

2003 R6 throttle tube for the curveys, direct fit.
For pointys I think you have to modify the tube, cutting a new cable insert or something, was on Ron's website.

You might be able to re-use the grip, but I've never had any luck removing or refitting grips... Your mileage may vary as they say.

You get the grip included with the R6 tube, it's so close to the SV grip that only the truly pedantic would notice.

What do you mean, as in, will you not be able to remove the grip once you've put it on?
