Damn, sorry to hear that, I can't believe they aren't accepting liability! I wouldn’t leave it at that if I were you. Bar stewards.
Just out of curiosity what Insurance Company/Recovery Company was it? Just so I know who to avoid in the future. |

Sorry doesn't seem to cut it but it's about all I can say! Bummer Grinch!
![]() Yes to accessories removal, especially if you haven't told the insurers about them. Stick some old stuff back in it's place if you have the time. Good luck with the recovery tw*ts. Srcew 'em like their trying to do to you. ![]() Regards Rich |

Sorry to hear about your trouble Grinch.
A couple of points to consider. If you have extras on your bike and you have not informed your insurance they can decided not to deal with your claim. If you remove them you have to replace the original part. If they value the bike with the extras on and you remove them before the salvage agent collects the bike, they can ask you to replace them or they can revalue the bike. Also beware if you buy the bike back if it is a category C you have to get a VIC (Vechile Identity Check) carried out on the bike after it is repaired before you can get the V5 document back. Hope this is of some help. |

I'm afraid I have absolutely nothing I can offer you in the way of spare original parts to replace your 'removed extras', or in the form of good advice as everything that I could possibly think of has already been said.
I can only comiserate with you and wish you all the best for a turn of luck in the near future. Keep your chin up... cos otherwise you'll get bored of looking at your toes! ![]() |
