No, no, no and no.
By the time you've lopped off the production and distribution costs, the selected Charity would be far better off if we each simply gave a fiver directly to them. This is now such a hackneyed approach - since the Rylstone WI made a big hit, every bunch of activists is showing the world their credentials to try to sell calendars, ranging from Anglers to Young Farmers. Most lose money - just how many dodgy calendars do you think the world wants???? If you want to do something for Charity, be innovative. Come up with a good idea that no one else is doing - and don't just sell it to 250 (or whatever) sv650.org members, sell it to the world. If all you want is to rag off for the camera, you can do that anytime. |
