If I told you that I'd have to kill you.

I have to say I don't have a problem with this at all. In this weather I take my helmet off cos I want to and it means a quick gulp of water can be had.

So what if it take a bit longer - who's rushing!?!

If I'm on a journey I'll often have stopped for a drink anyway, so it's not a big deal. If I'm just leaving home then it's not a problem cos I planned it anyway and I use the time to put my earplugs and everything in.
The only time it's annoying is when I'm in an extreme rush and I'm already all kitted out.
I've never had someone ask me to do it, though I've had a few dirty looks when I didn't do it automatically.

It's alright for those of you guys with hardly any hair!

Taking my crash helmet off to fill or, or worse, just to go in and pay, is really annoying and never just a case of simply off and on.
That's even wearing one of those lightweight 'Buff' things.

My hair is simply too wispy and long that once it gets a chance to escape it will - put my lid straight back on and little annoying bits will sneak out half a mile down the road, start to tickle the end of my nose or try to attack my eyes!

Yes I could cut it all off - and for years I did have about a grade 5!

Even though I generally use Tesco's because I can pay at the pump, I've not been asked for a long time to remove my lid at a petrol station - maybe it's because I'm teeny-tiny (apparently) and not imposing at all.
