i should have mentioned that recently on the way to lands end we done about 600 miles (but not sure exactly how many - as i didnt set my tripomoter)
we were with a few 125cc bikes so avoided all motorways and dual carageways. only quiet contry lanes all the way. started out at 9 in the morning, finnished at 8.30 in the evening, we done this for 3 days taking the most indirect route we could find and camping rough. to be totally honest . my ass didnt hurt a bit. ive even had most of the padding taken out of my seat cos im so short. to be honest tho . . . was probably cos i was moving about on the seat so much (a few others i was with compained about sore bums tho) (i was on a CBR by the way) |

I've done Saddlesore 1000, 3 times, with no problems, Bunburner 1500 only once, that last 500 miles is tough, I know I fell asleep more than once on the highway at 80mph |

the annual rideout saw me do 437 miles that day.
![]() pretty much only surpassed by a 600 miler day on a trip round europe a couple years ago and a rideout in Australia that amounted to a 550 mile round trip ![]() |

I think the most I've ever done was about a 500 mile round trip from Bedford to North Wales and back in a day.
OK, so I went to visit my parents not remembering they were on holiday for two weeks! ![]() That was on my GPz500 a fair few years ago, but I didin't have any trouble. Just a couple of stops each way for a coffee and a stretch. I've done a 400 mile round trip in a day on the SV without any trouble. There was a substantial stop for a few hours in the middle of that one though. Oh, do I get a gold star too, I know where Machynlleth is... we bought our first collie from there when I was 10. ![]() |

![]() I did 330+ miles on the day of AR05 on my Hornet. Felt fine. Must be a bit more comfy than the SV. |

About 450 from Calais down to Lyon. To knackered to continue. Would have made it all the way down to the cote D'Azur if we had been able to make an earlier ferry.

Not much over 500 for me. I've done Southampton-Preston and back in one day a couple of times. Also done Preston to Hull then onto Southampton in one day.
