I'm hoping it spurs Suzuki into actually taking the SV forward... They've got a bit lazy I think. As long as whatever they do next can be shoehorned into my bike that is!

Kwak are the kings of economies of scale, so that doesn't surprise me at all about the discs. If you look at the number of parts reused across their range, that's pretty consistent.

the sv was built like that tho was'nt it? the only thing thats not bandit is the engine and frame,the brake calipers originated from the early gsxr did'nt they<<plz correct me if i'm wrong.

Well, to some extent... Lots of reused parts but then that's because there's only so many ways you can make a 298mm disc or a 2-pot caliper. But if you look at Kwak, you find things like the clocks and rear fairings off one of the Ninjas on the Z750, for example. And just look at the new 636 and ZX10R for interchangability.

Yup... Though the photos I've seen (from MCN) were photoshopped, I don't think there's any official shots out yet.
