Still not sure it is a positive move though, but not for technical reasons, that's really not an issue.

Something people always forget about, car and now bikes is that your mobile phone can set a air bag off. My brother used to make air bags, and one of the guys there lost a finger cus he was texting while working on a airbag test. So don't wave your mobile to close to the wheel it might strike back, but I don't see this as a bad thing as its your own fault. Imagine.. you see BMW drive texting while driving, 'Poof' airbag and phone in face. Just keep clear...
