1. Its lighter.
2. The engine pulls better and harder.
3. I like the seating position, its more sporty feeling than a Curvey, more weight on your wrists which I personally like.
Pointy better than curvy? I hadn't rode the K5 for a few weeks and my first impression was it's bloody wristy! Certainly sporty but no that comfy for touring.
I think the pointy is better, I've done a fair few miles on my girlfriends K5 and I prefer it to my bike

Also it depends which side it went down on.

Most bikes stand stays in place if the bike is blown to vertical, so if comes back down it'll land back on its stand with a bump. This could result in the a bounce and the stand popping back up though. Its normal for them (in high winds) to be blown past the vertical and onto the other side.

If its gone down on the left, its possible the stand wasnt down quite fully in the first place...... But this means you could *ahem* loosen the stand

We wont tell anyone.....

it went down on the right hand side, must have been hell of a gust of wind

I think what you said about it blowing past the vertical is exactly whats happened

Fizz - I can't believe you parked it port beam on to the wind.

Every one knows you should moor up with the bow pointing into the wind - don't they????

Seriously though - sorry to hear this mate - what a ****er

Crikey!

As for the Loan bike. If its the usual gig, then its about 750-1000 earth pounds xcess..not good. A new tank is about £350. Say that you will pay for the tank at cost price, about £250ish IIRC

As for your bike, if its in for an MOT as well, then you will have to have the discs, if it aint, take it away and get some pattern discs, cheaper than std suzuki ones!!

Other than that, mate, i feel for ya! Never good when it all happens at once!!
