I have a feeling that due to various rumours at the end of this season a couple of the very quick bikes were pulled apart and found to be totally legal. The minitwins series is capped at 72 BHP and i believe random bikes are dynoed at every meeting. If you want to see tuned SV's next year racing against Buells and Dukes then have a lookout for Bemsee's Thunderbike series.

Whilst I have only ever dealt with them once (and was not happy) I know of a number of people who are very pleased with their work.

From what I can put together, James is a brilliant mechanic who knows the SV inside & out, but the root to the "problems" is a partner who is involved in the commercial side of the business.

Like I say, that's what I have managed to piece together over the last 3 years. However, there are always 2 sides to a story, and if you don't discuss prices properly before getting work done then you only have yourself to blame (IMHO).

Try them, if you're not satisfied don't go back, if you are, let others know.

Dunno about this... I've got to say, every problem I've ever had, has been exclusively with James Holland, from dropped email conversations to... Well, other stuff that's been done to death.

Can't really see the point of anyone cheating in the MiniTwins to be honest. If it's a company backed team such as JHS then they have a lot to lose and if it's an individual then they are only cheating themselves.

Anyone who can gain any satisfaction from racing with an illegal bike is missing the point and should question why they bother entering the series at all. Some people think that the secret is to push the rules to the absolute limit but I reckon the secret is to just ride the bike and not worry about a horse power or two.

If anyone hears of anybody bending the rules then let us know what they are alleged to have done and we'll add it to the list for our random checks. I don't want to know any names just the sort of modifications we ought to be looking out for.

As for JHS Racing I have used them numerous times and have had no problems at all. Happy to recommend them for any work you may need.

Totally off topic, but... one of my cousins used to race in a small saloon car series- back when I was really wee. He wasn't very good, but he loved it. Anyway, the season came right down to the last race, and that night a lod of the teams were out on the town. mike foun the champion looking all morose, and says "what's the matter" "I feel really down mate... We ran with illegal fuel today, but I'm sure I could've won without it, it's like I cheated myself". So Mike told the runner up, and some other guys, and they pasted the crap out of him then demolished the car. Ah, the heady smell of competetive sport

The site is better

They've also moved. Their last place was awful.

I used to live in Bristol and used JHS. I was generally happy. They knew their stuff. But you had to be prepared to negotiate and drive a hard bargain. I think this is a pity. I like to be quoted a fair price and I'll then happily pay.

Oh it's so funny to watch people who know nothing about the truth make up stories!
