Highly unlikely, that price is (on a true commercial scale) virtually impossible to beat. £160 fitted is very fair.

If it helps, I've got Diablo Strada's and find them great in the wet and in the dry. I can't say what the life is like as I managed to get punctures in both front and back and had to put another pair on, went for another set of Strada's though as I found them soooo much better than what Suzuki put on there as default.

You could stretch rubber bands around your rims & get better grip that what rubber Suzuki fit as standard to the SV's (both Curvies & pointies )

I haven't read all the posts but just before Xmas I got a huge nail through my rear tyre, and the front was close to needing a change. I was on Road Attacks and the one thing I can say is they last (in Vineys case this is a bad thing as you'll have to have them for far too long).
When I went to the bike shop I thought I'd change to Z6's.

OH MY GOD!!!!

My confidence in riding has returned, and it's been wet every day since I had them put on! These tyres are far far far superior to the road attacks, and I thought they were ok, but twitchy at times. The Z6 has me leaning over as much as I did on a dry day with the roadattacks and it's been wet!

Get them.

Happy new year.

oh I forgot to add, those Road Attacks are really nasty in the wet. On drain covers and newly painted white lines the rear really slips. The z6's haven't shifted at all on the same white lines, and I haven't noticed the drain covers. For the time I had the road attacks I conciously made an effort to avoid drain covers in the wet, but I don't even look for them now with the z6's.

Hmm this is the thing, i find the attacks better in the wet than the 020's, and just plain terrible in the dry. Im still gonna get some z6's at the beginning of the season

When I bought my bike it had a brand new Z6 on the front and a brand new Z4 on the back - rode all summer with them like this and did one track day - was going to throw them both in the bin for the RAs but the front isnt badly worn at all - think I wont bother and will go for a new Z6 on the back after reading all this! Cheers - saved me the cost of a front tyre!

What is this "Season" that you mention?

lightweight :P :P

I've ridden Z6's and Diablo Stradas, and I'd say Z6's are slightly better in the wet, but not by much.

with my SV1000s, I got around 10k miles from my last set of Z6's , not worn out a set of Diablo Stradas yet (last set got a puncture and were replaced on 5000 miles)

Could it possibly be that the Z6s offer very little in the way of feedback and the RAs rather a lot giving them what some peeps see as a "nervous"feel?

Therefore the Z6s would give a form of confidence all the way to the limit at which point they'd go AWOL with hardly any warning at all whereas the RAs offer information all the way down the line and would allow an experienced rider to know just how close he was to the breakaway point.

Just a thought...

Both good tyres of course.

I've got Z6's on my SV

I prefer them to 020's but I havent tried RA to be able to compare them

For me they provide plenty of feedback, especially when lent over I havent really really taken them to their limit, but I have done a fair bit of spirited riding on them.

the debate continues.....
