Peter, certainly for me the bellypan it is purely a cosmetic/style preference thing. One could argue it has aerodynamic advantages and as others have mentioned slight protective qualities, but as I said, I just prefer the look.

Also as hall13uk said, it is regulation when it comes to race bikes, but that is a whole different ballgame!!

Anyway folks, tanks for all the input, but I am now more undecided than ever!! There doesn’t seem to be a definitive answer (but then on the topic of beauty there will always be differing opinions!).

I think basically there is no one single bellypan that does it 100% for me, so I am probably going to go with the Skidmarx recommendation as has been noted it is all about the lines/curves to match the rest of the bike. But I’d still like to se a Powerbronze one fitted to a ‘S’ before I make the final decision!!!!

So, anyone got a powerbronze on an S??

Also I noticed these on eBay, they look to be shipped from abroad, they are a really good price, has anyone any experience of these?
