This northern monkey is interested in a jaunt back up north.

You guys will LOVE Cat N Fiddle and Matlock, they are both fantastic.

I did snakes pass a few weeks after getting the bike...

That was the first time I jumped the bike.. Brown trouser and hysterical laugh time. Fantastic

So which road is "Snake Pass" (sound like it should be in a cowboy movie)

mr jelly you could quite easily add it into your run back down south before the cat and fiddle.

PM amandaM i am sure she will give you the proper road name IIRC its the a57 out of Glossop heading for sheffield although if you want to pick up the cat n fiddle you can drop down at ladybower reservoir on the A6013 thru bamford.

quite a nice road if not too busy

P.S. it's actually Snake road (on my map anyway)

Did I hear my name? Yep, Snake pass (A57) is a fantastic road and I know it pretty well A good route is meet in Glossop, then head over the Snake, turn right towards Bamford like Amarko said, then head towards Hope village and Edale where there is a superb bumpy twisty road that takes you over to Chapel-en-le-Frith. Then head up Long Hill and over the Cat. Superb.

Well believe it or not, that is exactly the route I've plotted on Autoroute.... Obviously I'm a natural for this kind of work
