What I was meaning is that you could buy most cans and they would fit or could be adapted slightly to fit a wide range of bikes.

If we really want to be anal...there are no exhausts that could be called "Ducati" one's as they do not make any themselves.(Yeah what a boring a*se!)

[quote="mattSV"]The renegade underseat cans look superb on the curvy - have yet to see a set on a pointy that I really like though.

Hi mattSV, thanks for the pics! That Renegade is quite nice actually. I had a pair of MIG high up carbon exhaust on my prior bike, a Honda VTR 1000 F -98, and it looked f... nice! It looked quite similar to the Renegade...

The pics you sent will surely come in handy as the "project" continues...

cheers! -pATz-

Hi guys! I know there's a lot of different solutions from dealers on the market but they all make so "little" changes to the rest of the bikes. Of course it's nice to install a high pipe without any extra work put in but how exptoc is that??!!

What I'm thinking is to really put power on the UNDERSEAT word... and install the end cans between the rear foot pegs and the piping as smooth and nasty as possible (somewhat similar to the Duc 748/916)... Before this is possible I need to modify the battery position... actually I don't know yet where to put it... would be nice if I didn't need it... hehe

I know it's much work to be done but I have 3 months time before season = living in Finland remember!?

I received the "open air" exhaust cans today...

Also came in today a new screen... a "lighter" version of a DB... in black...

... ok, that's all for know... will post more pics soon... best wishes! -pATz

WTF!!?? Doesn't my pictures show?

Since last update the "project" continues:

- Have received a Poly26 bellypan that will be painted... perhaps chess board layout black and grey...

- All that's left of my rear of the bike is the swing arm and tire... have made marks on the subframe that will be cut (=will need to cut them to fit the Duc 748 open exhaust cans between the frame).

- The exhaust will result in a 2-1-2 cutting the exhasut pipe right in front of the original exhaust and welding a 54mm pipe and ending it up towards the underseat. Continuing then with the 1-2 connection in front of the cans. Will have a local dealer weld the cans... cost: piping e.EUR 30 + work e.EUR 200.

- Also noticed I have to re-route the rear brake hose as the exhaust pipe comes up on the right side of the bike (between brake cylinder and the right passenger foot peg)...

Will post more images asap... Best wishes,

-pATz-

In a moment of boredom I asked zorstec how much to make a full system with a 74/999 can for the SV. Around £1k for a system.

Quite liked the idea of taking the 749 look that stage further, but that'd buy me quite a few more practice days, so think I'll leave it .

Hey guys!!

Have dragged myself off the sofa and into the garage. Have also received all the parts for the project.

Just came from the garage and had the camera in hand - below some pictures of the progress.

Please comment on the pictures! Should the cans be more to the front?

Great bit of engineering - I think the cans need shortening by 4-6 inches though
