If Rossi did go to F1, would his fan base follow, thus leaving a hole in the following of MotoGP?

I would expect a few, but I think rather more MotoGP fans (not necessarily Rossi fans) may find it not quite as exciting without the excitement he brings to the sport. However, a few weeks of watching F1 should bring them back!

Is Max trying to stir things up.

A motorcycling rivalry has spilled into the world of formula one, with Max Biaggi mockingly offering to teach MotoGP champion Valentino Rossi how to drive a four wheel racer.

Biaggi, the axed Honda rider, recently tested for Midland’s MF1 team at a sodden Silverstone track, before countryman Rossi joined the group Valencia action this week and spun on his eleventh bend.

‘’I could have explained to him how to keep a formula one car going straight,'’ Biaggi chimed to the Gazzetta dello Sport paper.

Big names have always come and gone from the top level of motor sport. Did F1 collapse on the sad demise of Ayrton Senna? No,and much as Rossi has brought a whole load of "new" fans to the sport even many of them will stay on board due to their sheer love of bike racing.
There are one or two new stars waiting to shine let's not forget also.

Myself I will not miss his crotch adjusting, bum picking pit lane exits at all! But will miss his brilliance and personality.

Totally agree, but come on, the bum picking etc. is all part of his supersticious make up.
