i think you'll find thats highly "illegal" and incredibly unlikely.
Why illegal

He isn't working for anybody at the moment, so why would signing a 'pre-contract' be illegal If he was employed by someone, then maybe yes... However, saying that, Kenny Miller of Wolverhampton Wanderers has signed a 'pre-contract' with Celtic already

ok, lets say you were working for a company, but you'd discovered that somebody had signed a pre-contract to take your place? sit well with you? do you think that goes on? the illegal part was in inverted commas as i'm expect its not illegal, just not ethical and in the spirit of the game? surely?

Oh Souey'll have been told, believe you me... Freddie Shepherd (who, IMHO is an @rse too,) will have told him he was on his way in one of the many 'one way' coversations hes had with him over the previous few weeks

Yep it was my understanding that Souness was told he was out at the end of the season regardless and the O'Neill would take over.

Personally I would have had Clarke as the assistant and let Shearer get on with his task in hand getting goals

Personally I think it will be a sad day if/when Shearer takes the managers position at St.James. As it will not take long before all of his heroic exploits as a player are long forgotten and people are screaming for his head.

Been having a read of the comments on BBC's 606 chatroom, they want every manager that is out there!

Face it you've got Roeder and Shearer until Sven wins the World Cup and is sacked in glory, and then you've got Sven to groom Shearer for a couple of years>

Im chuffed to bits that Souness has gone, however ive always been wary of the appointment of Glenn Roeder. I never rated him when he was with West Ham. As for Shearer, the man is a legend and hero however im not sure if he has what it takes for management. Id love to eat my words but i just think that he's too self centred.

We need someone who can motivate players.

Sorry for the title mistake, im surprised that i even managed to write it - as i dont think we've scored that many goals in the league in the last 8 or 9 games combined
