Had the fuelling ever been adjusted using a Teka or Yoshi box prior to the PC? As has been said the figures do look a little high but I have no reason to suggest that there is anything untoward going on. My Raptor 650 read anywhere from 71 to 76 when I tested a few dynos a while back. As Rictus has said the only useful data from any dyno graph is when used for a comparisonand we can see that you gained power which can only be a good thing ![]() If it helps with a comparison your 76.22 DIN is actually 75.2 SAE which is around 3 hp more than we tend to see with many of the MiniTwins but not outside of the realms of different dynos to be honest. |

Mike, since Minitwins has a power cap, how is this enforced if you can get such wildly varying dyno results? A 'control' bike?
Btw hall, did they put a spare tyre on while testing? I dont know how true this is, but I've read that dyno testing does no favours to tyres. Can someone with more knowledge comment on this? |

![]() Seriously, the only way to manage things is to enforce the power limit with a consistent dyno. Wouldn't worry about tyre wear, it's not that dramatic (assuming they haven't tied the bike down too hard) even on soft race tyres. |

It can damage tyres, but realistically you've got to be testing some thing making loadsa welly before it gets to be a problem, usually what happens is that the tyre gets too hot through deforming and/or spins on the roller, to do that you need a few hundred. It could happen if it's not been properly secured on the dyno, but that's rare.

That is about the norm for a 250 dyno, have seen a few after mapping make those sort of numbers, last one was same spec made 78, regardless of overall hp figures its the improvement in fuelling and response that makes the difference

this is the main reason for me getting it done. the responce now is great so smooth of the throttle now ![]() |

So after all is said and done can any performance increase shown above really make a big difference in the real world?
